Nancy has a Bachelors degree in Psychology from ISU, a Masters degree in Nursing from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a certified Nurse Practitioner in Oncology.

Family Information
Nancy lives in Bloomington with her husband Bob She has two daughters – her daughter Jen and son-in-law Jerry have 3 children and daughter Kristi and son-in-law Sean and have one son.

Hobbies/Interests
“I enjoy traveling, reading, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.”

What change has impacted the field of cancer the most since you began your nursing career?
“The advancement in cancer treatment and supportive management and the shift from inpatient to outpatient care.”

Why did you choose oncology/hematology?
“I began working with oncology patients as a new nurse and have always felt a connection to them. It has been my commitment to make whatever difference I could in their lives. I have been blessed by having them as a part of my life.”

Do you have any advice to give patients after they have been diagnosed with cancer?
“I would say communicate and be a participant in their care.”
